HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 050875G - Street Improvements - Commercial Concrete Construction Co - Multiple Locations - 05_08_1975A J/c c RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with COMMERCIAL CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (G.W.O. 10,836 and 10,836-A) for the making and construc- tion of street and/or alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, stree and/or avenues in said City including among others the following: 43rd Street from its intersection with a line 6 feet west of the west property line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 9 feet west of the east property line of Dover Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Num- ber 10 of Unit Number 2229. Dover Avenue from its intersection with a line 79.05 feet north of north operty line of 43rd Street to its intersection with a line 8 feet north of rth property line of 44th Street (North Side), known and designated as Sub - it Number 11 of Unit Number 2229. N-S Alley between Avenue L and Avenue K from its intersection with the th Lip Line of 17th Street to its intersection with a line 130 feet north 18th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number A-459. E-W Alley between 15th Street and 16th Street from its intersection with West Property Line of Raleigh Avenue to its intersection with the East perty Line of Salem Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 4 of t Number A-459. E-W Alley between 23rd Street and 24th Street from its intersection with East Lip Line of Flint Avenue to its intersection with the West Lip Line Elgin Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 6 of Unit Number A-455 AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementionec eys, streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been con- ucted in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 10,836 & A). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys, eets, and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City ineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys, streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accor- dance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceeding with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments wer levied.
