RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BOUNDARY AMENDMENT TO THE URBAN
RENEWAL PLAN OF THE CORONADO URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, AS REVISED
AUGUST 31, 1960, AS SUBSEQUENTLY AMENDED
WHEREAS, the proposed boundary revision in the Urban Renewal Plan for
the Coronado Urban Renewal Project, as revised August 31, 1960, as subsequentl,
amended, as hereinafter set forth, has been reviewed by and approved by the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Lubbock and by the Urban
Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the boundary amendment as set forth on a map
attached hereto and made a part hereof, entitled "Boundary Map,
Exhibit URP-B1 of the Coronado Urban Renewal Plan", and designated
herewith as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and as also set forth
in a revised boundary description for the Coronado Urban Renewal
Project Area also attached hereto and made a part hereof and
designated herewith as Exhibit B to this Resolution, be and is
hereby approved and adopted.

The undersigned hereby certifies that:
1. He is the duly qualified and acting Secretary of the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Lubbock (hereinafter called the Local Public Agency)
and the custodian of the records of the Local Public Agency, including the
journal of proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Lubbock (hereinafter called the "Governing Body"),
and is duly authorized to execute this certificate.
2. Attached hereto is a true and correct copy of a resolution including
the WHEREAS clauses, adopted at a meeting of the Governing Body held on the
7th day of January , 19 75 .
3. Said resolution has been duly recorded in the journal of said
meeting and is now in full force and effect.
4. Said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance
with law and the by-laws, due and proper notice of said meeting was given. A
legal quorum of members of the Governing Body was present throughout said meeting
and a legally sufficient number of members of the Governing Body voted in the
proper manner for the adoption of said resolution. All other requirements and
proceedings under law, said by-laws, or otherwise, incident to the proper adoption
of said resolution, including any publications, if required by law, have been duly
fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed.
5. The Seal appearing below constitutes the official Seal of the Local Public
Agency and was duly affixed by the undersigned at the time this certificate was signed.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE URBAN RENE14AL AGENCY
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR THE CORONADO
URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, TEY.. R-33.
WHEREAS, a Boundary Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Coronado
Urban Renewal Project, as revised August 31, 1960, as approved and adopted by
the City's governing body on March 23, 1961, and as subsequently amended (herein-
after referred to as the Plan), was presented to this body and has been prepared
by the Agency staff and reviewed by the members of this body; and
WHEREAS, the amended Boundary Map, Exhibit URP-61, of said Urban Renewal
Plan has been reviewed and studied by the City's Planning Department and has been
found to be acceptable; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Plan as amended has been found to conform to the
general plan of the City, to be related to definite local objectives as to
appropriate land use, improved traffic, public transporation, utilities,
recreational and community facilities, and other public improvements and to be
compatible with plans of development prospects for the neighborhood of district
of which the project area is a part; and
WHEREAS, said Plan containing the amended Boundary Map for said Project
needs to be recognized as a guide for the redevelopment of the area and recommended
to the City Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE URBAN
RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT said amended Plan for the Coronado Urban Renewal Project Area be and
is hereby approved and recommended to the City Council of the City of Lubbock
as a guide for the continued redevelopment of the area.
On motion of Commissioner Anderson , seconded by Commissioner
the above and foregoing Resolution was passed this 7th
f January , 1975, by the following vote:

CORONADO
Description of the Coronado Urban Renewal Project
Description of the Boundaries of the Coronado Urban Renewal
Project.
Coronado Urban -Renewal Area located in the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, and described generally as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the West line of Ash Avenue
with the South line of Survey 3, Block "0", Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE East'along East 19th Street and along the South line
of Survey 3, Block "0" to --its intersection with an extension
of the Northeast Right -of -Way line of Southeast Drive;
THENCE Southeasterly along the extension of and along the
Northeast Right -of -Way line of Southeast Drive to a point
fifty (50) feet North of its intersection with the proposed
Northwest Right -of -Way line of the proposed separated cross-
ing and separated crossing road (proposed to be extended from
East 26th Street on the West to East 24th Street on the East);
THENCE 90' d eft along a line perpendicular to Southeast Drive
to the intersection of said line with an extension of the
North line of East 24th Street;
THENCE East along the extension of and along the North line
of East 24th Street to its intersection with the West line of
Quirt Avenue;
THENCE slightly West of North along the West line of Quirt
Avenue to its intersection with the proposed North line of
East 22nd Street;
THENCE East along the proposed North line of East 22nd Street
to its intersection with the East line of Redbud Avenue;
THENCE South along the East line of Redbud Avenue to its in-
tersection with the North line of East 31st Street;
THENCE East along the North line of East 31st Street to its
intersection with the East line of Sieber Addition Second
Installment and/or the East line of a N-S alley;

Installment to its intersection with an extension of the
South line of East 34th Street;

of the Southeast Right -of -Way line of the Panhandle and Santa
Fe Railway Company;

Southeast Right -of -Way line of the Panhandle and Santa Fe
Railway Company to its intersection with an extension of
the Northeast Right -of -Way line of the Fort Worth and Den-
ver City Railway Company;

City Railway Company to its intersection with a 945.37
radius curve to the right, said curve being parallel to
and ten (10) feet radially distant from the center line
of an industry track of said railway company which is on
e 6 degreecurve to the right leading to the West side
of Ash Avenue;
THENCE alon the 945.37 radius curve to the right parallel
to and ten ?10) feet radially distant from the center line
of the spur track to the point of tangency for said 945.37
radius curve, said point of tangency being on the West line
of Ash Avenue;
THENCE North along the West line of Ash -Avenue to its inter-
section with the South line of Survey 3, Block "0", the POINT
OF BEGINNING for this project area.

Boundary Description of Excluded Area (Community Development Rehabilitation
and Redevelopment Urban Renewal Area No. 12 )
Beginning at the -northeast corner of the intersection of Quirt Avenue and
the north right -of -gay line of the alley between East 25th Street and East
24th Street;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the east right-of-way line of Quirt
Avenue to a point of intersection with the south right-of-way line of
East 33rd Street;
Thence, in a southeasterly direction along the -south right-of-way line of
East 33rd Street and its extension to the east to its intersection with the
east right-of-way line of the alley between the Lubbock Cemetery and Teak
Avenue;
Thence, in a northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of the
alley between the Lubbock Cemetery and Teak Avenue to a Doint of
Intersection with the north right-of-way line of East 31st Street;
Thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of East
31st Street to a point of intersection with the east right-of-way line of
:Redbud Avenue; •
Thence, in a northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of Redbud
Avenue to a point of intersection with the north right-of-way line of the
alley between East 24th Street and East 25th Street;
Thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of the
alley between East 24th Street and East 25th Street (if extended in a
westerly direction) to a point on the west right-of-way line of Redbud Avenue;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Redbud
Avenue to a point of intersection with the"north right-of-way line of the
alley between East 24th Street and East 25th Street;
Thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of the
alley between East 24th Street and East 25th Street to the point of beginning.
