RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has determined that the public needs,
necessity, and welfare demand that its Lubbock Regional Airport be further
expanded, extended, and improved and that a necessary part of such project
is the improvement of Farm to Market Public Road and/or Highway No. 26411
in order to provide better public access for the traveling public to such Air-
port, which is a public purpose and a lawful municipal purpose, and such
project is to be accomplished by the City of Lubbock acquiring lands needed
for such public purposes and the Texas Highway Department constructing or
causing to be constructed said F. M. 2641 improvements as aforesaid; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby determ
that it would be and will be to the best public interest and for public and
municipal purposes to proceed with the acquisition of lands as needed for
such purposes as aforesaid; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
Section 1. THAT the fee simple title to the following described real
estate located in Lubbock County, Texas be acquired for municipal purposes
and public use and purposes as set forth in the preamble hereof, towit:
1.476 acres of land described more particularly by metes
and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point which has a bearing of South 000 24' 43"
East, a distance of 2, 634. 55 feet, thence a bearing of North
88° 03' 06" West, a distance of 1, 321. 91 feet from the North-
east corner of Section 10, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas;
Thence a bearing of South 880 011 59" East, a distance of
991. 91 feet to a point;
Thence a bearing of South 011, 58' 24" West, a distance of
99. 12 feet to a point in a 5659. 5780 footl radius curve, the center
of which has a bearing of South 050 55' 23" West, a distance
of 5659. 5780 feet to a point;
Thence around said 5659. 5780 foot radius curve to the left
an are distance of 192. 81 feet to a point in the 5659. 5780
foot radius curve, the center of which has a bearing of
South 030 581 16" West to a point;
Thence a bearing of North 010 581 24" East, a distance of
33. 81 feet to the point of beginning.

Section 2. THAT the owner of said land, including Cynthia Ann
Greener and Brenda Diana Greener, be offered, through the Right -of -Way
Department of the City of Lubbock the amount of $4, 150.00 which is the
amount appraised as the value and total damages for the fee simple title
and acquisition of said real estate hereinabove described for the purposes
herein stated, for the use -and benefit of the City of Lubbock, and unless
accepted, the City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to institute
Condemnation Proceedings to acquire the fee simple title to said real estate
as hereinabove described for the purposes aforesaid.
