RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has determined that the public needs,
necessity, and welfare demand that its Lubbock Regional Airport be further
expanded, extended, and improved and that a necessary part of such project
is the improvement of Farm to Market Public Road and/or Highway No. 2641
in order to provide better public access for the traveling public to such
airport, which is a public purpose and a lawful municipal purpose, and such
project is to be accomplished by the City of Lubbock acquiring lands needed
for such public purposes and the .Texas Highway Department constructing
or causing to be constructed said F. M. 2641 improvements as aforesaid;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby determines
that it would and will be to the best public interest and for public and
municipal purposes to proceed with the acquisition of lands as needed for
such purposes as aforesaid; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the fee simple title to the following described real
estate located in Lubbock County, Texas, be acquired for municipal purpo-
ses and -:public, use and purposes as I set forth. ih the preamble hereof, to -wit:
0.0007 acre of land more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears of North 88 ° 01' 56"
West a distance of 1, 475. 59 feet; thence a bearing of South
0 ° 24' 43" East a distance of 2, 644. 96 feet from the
Northeast corner of Section 10, Block A, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE a bearing of South 88 ° OF 56" East a distance
of 60. 00 feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of South 010 58' 04" West a distance of
0. 98 feet to a point in a 5, 659. 5780 foot radius curve
from which the center of said curve has a bearing of South
03 ° 02' 07" West a distance of 5659. 5780 feet;
THENCE around said 5659. 5780 foot radius curve to the
left an arc distance of 60.01 feet to a point which the center
of said curve has a bearing of South 020 25' 40" West
a distance of 5659. 5780 feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of North 010 58' 04" East a distance
of 0.18 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. THAT the owners of said land, including Leon Crawford
and wife, Shirley -Ann Hayes Crawford, be offered, through the Right -of -
Way Department of the City of Lubbock the amount of $23.00, which is the
amount appraised as the value and total damages for the fee simple title
and acquisition of said real estate hereinabove described for the purposes
herein stated, for the use and benefit of the City of Lubbock, and unless
accepted, the City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to institute
Condemnation Proceedings to acquire the fee simple title to said real
estate as hereinabove described for the purposes aforesaid.
