Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 121274N - Urban Renewal Project Areas 1 & 2 - 12_12_1974i22w RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK FINDING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY TO BE SLUMU BLIGHTED, OR COMBINATIONS THEREOF, AND DESIGNATING THE SAME AS APPROPRIATE FOR URBAN RENEWAL PROJECTS WHEREAS, certain areas within the City of Lubbock, which are described in the attached Exhibit "A", should be found and determined to be slum areas, blighted areas or combinations thereof, as these terms are de- fined in the Texas Urban Renewal Law, Article 1269 L-3, V.A.C.S.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the determination that said areas described in the attached Exhibit "A" are slum, blighted or combinations thereof, the same should be found to be appropriate for an urban renewal pro- ject or projects, and an urban renewal plan or Plans, for such areas would be appropriate. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK THAT: 1. Certain areas within the City of Lubbock are hereby found and determined to be slum areas, blighted areas, or combinations thereof as said terms are used and defined in the Texas Urban Renewal Law, Article 1269 L-3, V.A.C.S., said areas being described in the attached Exhibit "A". 2. The areas as are described in the attached Exhibit "A", in the Cit of Lubbock, are appropriate for an urban renewal project, or projects, and an urban renewal plan,or plans, appropriate for such project or projects may be undertaken.
