k1D RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock passed a Resolution
on March 13, 1958 authorizing the Mayor to execute for and on behalf of said
City a Contract to be entered into by and between said City and the Urban Renew
Agency of the City of Lubbock, said Resolution being recorded in Minute Book 17
at page 76 of the minutes of said City Commission; and,
WHEREAS„ in said Contract the City of Lubbock was to make certain. surveys
for said Urban Renewal 'Agency, and said Urban Renewal Agency was to com-
pensate said City for such services in the amount of $3, 000; and,,
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock finds that the sum
of $3, 000 is inadequate and that the sum of $4,500 is needed for the total
compensation from said agency to said City; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the last sentence of Section 2, of the above-described
Resolution of the City Commission is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The total compensation to be paid by the
Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lub-
bock to the City of Lubbock shall not exceed
FOUR,THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND
+� NOf 100 ($4, 500) DOLLARS. "
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute for
and on behalf of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock a Contract
amendment to the Contract bearing the date of February 17, 1958,, by and
between the said Urban Renewal Agency and the City.of Lubbock, said amendmen
to said Contract to provide that the total compensation to be paid by the Urban
Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock to the City of Lubbock shall not exceed
$4, 500.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary shall attest the signature of the Mayor
to the aforesaid Contract amendment and shall affix the seal of the City of
Lubbock thereto.

SUBJECT: Requested Resolutions and Contract Amendment.
Please .find attached hereto, the following instruments:
(1) A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract
Amendment revising the compensation to be paid by the Urban. Renewal
Agency to the City of Lubbock from $3, 000 to $4, 500.
(2) A Contract Amendment to be executed by the Mayor of the
City of Lubbock and the Chairman of Urban Renewal Agency of the City
of Lubbock.
(3) A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to
execute said Contract Amendment calling for a revised compensation.
It is our understanding that you -:need these revisions in order,to provide
more money for certain structural and environmental and other services
which are to be conducted for the Urban Renewal Agency by the City of
Lubbock. Please check 111t&I documents and be sure he eet your needs,
and place them on the A enda for the Urban Renewal ward and the.-City
Commission at the earliest practicable time.
