I RESOLUTION
~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in
favor of the 'state and/or heirs of James Williams, deceased, attached herewith
which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the
minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if
fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 12thiay of September 1974.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of
Lubbock, State of -Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100
($1. 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid
by the estate and/or heirs of JAMES WILLIAMS, deceased, as their interest may
appear as abutting owners to the tract of land hereinafter described, hereinafter
called "Grantee", the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by
these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM
unto the said GRANTEE, all its right, title, and interest in and to that certain
tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State
of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
A portion of East 27th Street, more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 5,
Sieber Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE East along the Soutb line of said Lot 8, and/or the
North line of East 27th Street, a distance of 36. 7 feet to
its intersection with a 50. 00 foot radius curve to the left,
said curve having. its point of radius - 80. 00 feet East of the
East line of Quirt'' Avenue and on the center line of East
27th Street;
THENCE Southwesterly along said curve to the left an arc
distance of 26.18 feet, a chord distance of 25. 88 feet, to
its intersection with the center line of East 27th Street;
THENCE West along the center line of East 27th Street a
distance of 30. 00 'feet to its intersection with the East
line of Quirt Avenue;
THENCE North along the East line of Quirt Avenue a
distance of 25. 00 feet to the point of BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto
the said GRANTEE, their heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the
Grantor, City of Lubbock, its successors, or assigns nor any persons claiming
under it shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the
title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
