HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 092274B - Quit Claim Deed - Continental Moss-Gordond - Richmond Second Addition - 09/22/1974I RESOLUTION 69/Z?E1.8 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the MAYOR. of the CITY OF LUBBOCK BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in favor of CONTINENTAL MOSSPGORDIN, INC., A Corporation, attached here- with which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 12th day of September , 1974. f /�i/ k cc _ R-3C ASS, MAYOR ATTEST: G Treva Phillips, Cit Secretary -Treasurer APPROVED AS TO FORM: ter, Jr., QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS § KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/ 100 ($1, 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by CONTINENTAL MOSS-GORDIN, INC., A Corporation, hereinafter called "GRANTEE", the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: A portion of a street and alley, described as follows: Parcel No. 1. - All of that portion of the North -South alley in Block 8, Richmond Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, situated South of the Santa Fe Rail- way right-of-way as closed by Ordinance No. 743, as passed by City Council of City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas on second and final reading on February 14, 1946 as reflected in the minutes of said Council. Parcel No. 2. - A strip of land 30. 00 feet in width and being immediately East of and adjacent to Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, Block 8, Richmond Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and being situated South, of the Santa Fe Railway right-of-way, said strip being the West one-half of Avenue "N" as closed by said Ordinance No. 743. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GRANTEE, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR CITY OF LUBBOCK, its successors or assigns, nor any persons claiming under it shall at any time hereinafter have, claim or demand any right to the title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
