RESOLUTION
SAS, the City of Lubbock, Texas, a Home Rule Municipality located in
Lubbock County, Texas, has determined and does hereby determine that the public needs,
safety and welfare demand and create a public necessity for the acquisition of additional
land for municipal and public use and purposes, to -wit: for an underground sewer line and
communications cable easement to Reese Air Force Base now known as the Reese
Redevelopment Authority, and the City Council of said City finds it in the public interest
and for public purposes and municipal purposes to proceed with the acquisition of lands as
needed for such purposes as aforesaid; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the permanent and working easement to each of the
following described parcels of land located in Lubbock County, Texas be acquired for
public purposes and municipal purposes as set forth in the preamble hereof, to -wit:

SECTION 2. THAT the above -described parcels of land whose acquisition is
herein authorized are more particularly described in exhibits attached to this Resolution
and incorporated herein as part of this Resolution.
SECTION 3. THAT the owners of the above -described parcels of land BE
offered through the Right -of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock the amount
hereinabove indicated for their respective parcel(s), which is the amount appraised as the
value and total damages for the granting of a permanent and working easement, including
all legal obligations attached thereto, for the use and benefit of the City of Lubbock,
Texas, for the purposes herein stated, and unless
accepted forthwith, the City Attorney of said City -of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
instructed to institute condemnation (eminent domain) proceedings to acquire the fee
simple title to any or all such parcels as hereinabove described for public purposes and
municipal purposes.

South Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Block J-S, Lubbock County, Texas:
Beginning at a point 65 feet North 0'00'28" East and 2672 feet North 8905922" West
from the Southeast comer of Section 9, Block J-S, said point being 65 feet North and 32
feet West of the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Block J-S.
Thence North 0°00'28" East a distance of 550 feet to a point in the North line of a 26 acre
tract;
Thence South 89°59'22" East a distance of 20 feet to a point;
Thence South 0°00'28" West 550 feet to a point;
