HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 5976 - Solid Waste Department Grant Application - Composting Bins, Mobile Recycling - 08_27_1998Resolution No. 5976 Item No. 17 August 27, 1998 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (hereinafter called the "TNRCC") and the South Plains Association of Governments (hereinafter "SPAG") have approved a grant application for backyard composting bins and two mobile recycling trailers for the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock would like to show its support for this program as identified in the City of Lubbock's proposal for the fiscal year 1999 Solid Waste Grant Program; and to: WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock would show its support in using its best efforts 1. Comply with the provisions of the fiscal reimbursement and the reporting requirement of the TNRCC and the State of Texas; and 2. Use the funds for purposes for which they are provided; and 3. Ensure the project is in compliance with and supports local and/or regional solid waste management plans and programs applicable to the SPAG region. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City of Lubbock supports the City of Lubbock Solid Waste Department's Grant Application for backyard composting bins and two mobile recycling trailers.
