BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in
favor of W. A. MADDOX and W. V. MADDOX, attached herewith which shall be
spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this
Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein
in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 11 th dayof Apr 11 1974.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND
N0/100 ($1. 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in
hand paid by W. A. MADDOX and W. V. MADDOX, hereinafter called "GRANTEE;
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents
ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said
grantees, all its right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of
land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described
as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Williams Sub-
division of the John W Jarrott Subdivision, an Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East a distance of 7. 5 feet to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 100. 00 feet to a point in the
South right-of-way line of 22nd Street;
THENCE East a distance of 7. 5 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 2;
THENCE South a distance of 282. 5 feet to the Southwest corner
of Lot 3;
THENCE West a distance of 15. 00 feet to the Southeast corner
of Lot 5;
THENCE North a distance of 182.5 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the
said GRANTEES, their successors and assigns forever, so that neither the GRAN-
TOR, City of Lubbock, its heirs, or assigns, nor any persons claiming under it
shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the title to the
;doresaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.

April 1974.
