RESOLUTION
-01 ' 11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the 1%yor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
in favor of Alan R. Henry, Ben Stribling, J. C. Chambers, and O. V. Scott,
attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as
spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this
Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 14th day of March , 1974.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND
NO/100 (1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in
hand paid by ALAN R. HENRY, BEN STRIBLING, J. C. CHAMBERS, and
O. V. SCOTT, hereinafter called "Grantee", the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON; DISCLAIM,
RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its
right title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying
and being situated in the County. of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as
follows, to -wit:
A portion of Third Place (Street) and a portion of a 12.5
foot alley.in Block 9, Westhaven Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
TRACT 1, STREET CLOSURE:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 17, Block 9,
Westhaven Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE East a distance of 75.0 feet to the Southeast
corner of Lot 19, Block 9, Westhaven Addition;
THENCE South a distance of 50.0 feet to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 60.0 feet to a point of curvature;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a radius of 15.0
feet, delta angle of 90 °, tangent length of 15.0 feet and a curve
distance of 23.56 feet to a point in the East line of Indiana
Avenue
THENCE North along the East line of Indiana Avenue a distance
of 65.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
TRACT 2, ALLEY CLOSURE:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 17, Block 9,
Westhaven Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE North along the East line of Indiana Avenue a
distance of 12. 5 feet to a point;
THENCE East 75.0 feet to a point;
THENCE South 12. 5 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 19,
r Block 9, Westhaven Addition;
THENCE West a distance of 75.0 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING,
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and
singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner
belonging unto the said GRANTEE, their heirs, and assigns, forever, so
that neither the Grantor, City of Lubbock, their heirs, or assigns, nor any
person claiming under it shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or
demand any right to the title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances
or any part thereof,
