HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 110873E - Street Improvements - WD Turner Construction Co - GW 66Th Street - 11_08_1973A ' /lD073 i I 1 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF 1 ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with W.D. Turner Construction Company (G.W.O. 10,790) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the following: 66th Street from its intersection with a line 13.00 feet West of the West j Property Line of Toledo Avenue (north leg) to Its intersection with a line 15.50 feet West of the West Property Line of Salem Avenue (south leg) known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 32 of Unit Number 2226. 66th Street from its intersection with the North Lip Line of Loop 289 Frontage Road to its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Toledo Avenue (north leg) known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 45 of Unit Number 2226. Utica Avenue from its intersection with a line 4.00 feet North of the North Property Line of 66th Street (east leg) to its intersection with the North Lip Line of Loop 289 Frontage Road known and designated as Sub -L)nit Number 46 of Unit Number 2226. Toledo Avenue from its intersection with a line 4.0 feet North of the South Property Line of 66th Street to its intersection with the North Lip Line of 67th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 47 of Unit Number 2226. I 67th Street from its intersection with the North Lip Line of Loop 289 Frontage Road to its intersection with a line 18.00 feet East of the East Property Line of Toledo Avenue (north leg) known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 48 of Unit Number 2226. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione streets and/or avenues have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract G.W.O. 10,790. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. 3 II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver dertificates in evidence of the assessments levied agains the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law tnd in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
