RESOLTJTION
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that in the interest of the
safety of the citizens of the City of Lubbock and in recognition of advancements
in the building industry, a study should be made concerning the updating of the
Building Code of the City of Lubbock; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT a Building Code Study Committee, composed of nine (9) members
consisting of persons in the building construction industry to be appointed by the
City GCouncil and the Building Board cif Appeals is hereby established to study
the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Building Code and make recommendations to the
City!Council as to its adoption.
The Chairman of the Building Board of Appeals shall serve as the Com-
mittee Chairman and shall hold such meetings and hearings as the Committee
shall deem necessary to accomplish such study. The Committee shall remain
in eistance for the time necessary to complete its study and present the joint
recommendations of the Committee to the City Council.
Passed by the City Council this 11th day of October 1973.

the Building Code of the City of Lubbock; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT a Building Code Study Committee, composed of nine (9) members,
consisting of architects, builders and building suppliers, is hereby appointed
to work with the Building Board of Appeals to study the 1973 Edition of the
Uniform Building Code and make recommendations to the City Council as to its
adoption.
The Committee and the Building Board of Appeals shall appoint one of
its members as chairman and shall hold such meetings and hearings as they
deem necessary to accomplish such study. The Committee shall remain in
existance for the time necessary to complete its study and present the joint
recommendations of the Committee and the Building Board of Appeals to the
City Council.
