RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in
favor of VIRGIL MURRY and RAY ELEDGE, attached herewith which shall be
spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this
Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein
in detail.
Passed by the City Council thisl 1 th day of October 1973.

QUIT CLAIM DEED

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County
of Lubbock,. State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND
N0/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in
hand paid by VIRGIL MURRY and RAY ELEDGE, hereinafter called "GRANTEES"
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents
ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said
GRANTEES, all its right title and interest in and to those certain tracts or
parcels of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, -State of Texas,
described as follows, to -wit:
The East-West alley and a portion of 21st Street out of
the Northeast ; of Section 5, Block E-2, Lubbock County,
Texas, lying between Eddie Addition and Bangor Avenue
and being further described by metes and bounds as follows:
Parcel No. 1. (Alley): BEGINNING at a point 1400.4 feet
West and 404. 7 feet South of the. Northeast corner of said
Section 5, Block E-2;
THENCE West a distance of 285. 0 feet to a point;
THENCE South a distance of 20.0 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 285. 0 feet to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 20.0 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Parcel No. 2. (21st Street): •BEGINNING at a point 1400.4
feet West and 668.4 feet South of the Northeast corner of said
Section 5, Block E-2;
THENCE West a distance of 270.0 feet: to a point;;
THENCE on a 15. 0 foot radius . to the might to a point in the
right-of-way line of Bangor Avenue;
THENCE South along the East line of Bangor Avenue a distance
of 86.0 feet to a point;
THENCE on a 15.0 foot radius to the right to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 270. 0 feet -to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 56. 0 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the
said GRANTEES, their successors and assigns forever, so that neither the Grantor
City of Lubbock, its successors and assigns, nor any persons claiming under it
shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the title to the
aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
