RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMERTS ON PORTIONS OF AVENUE Q AS LISTED BELOW
XTD ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESS1v1ENTS LEVIED.
I�MREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Frank B. Hodges
Construction Company (G.W.O. 1082) for the construction of the outermost curb
and gutter on the following portions of Avenue Q:
East Side of Avenue Q from its intersection with an imaginary line 56.4 feet
North of the North Property Line of 35th Street to its intersection with the
North Property.line of 38th Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1720.
East Side of Avenue Q from its intersection with the South Property Line of
44th Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of 50th Street,
known and designated as Unit Number 1721.
West Side of Avenue Q from its intersection with the North Property Line of the
Alley South of 34th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of
38th Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1722.
West Side of Avenue Q from its intersection with the South Property Line of
'44th Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of 50th Street,
known and designated as Unit Number 1723.
East Side of. Avenue Q from its intersection with the 'North Property Line of
38th'Street to its intersection with the North Property line of 44th Street,
known and designated as Unit Number 1725.
Nest Side of Avenue Q from its intersection-.with the South Property Line of
38th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 44th Street,
known and designated as Unit Number 1726.
AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned
Avenue Q, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance
with terms of said contract G. W. 0. 1082.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEIAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned Avenue Q be,
and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be, and he is hereby
authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of cost.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of Avenue Q Listed above
and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the
manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said
improvements and assessments.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the improvements constructed by Frank B. Hodges
Construction Company under his contract dated March 24, 1955,
designated as G. W. 0. 1082, and find the improvements on Avenue Q,
known and designated as Units 1720, 1721, 17222 1723, 1725, and
1726 respectively, as listed on the final estimate and assessment
sheets to have been completed in accordance with the plans and
specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on
said Avenue Q, paying the contractor the amount shown on the
attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the
City of Lubbock, and issue assignable certificates against the
property owners for the respective amounts shown on the attached
final assessment sheets as being due against then and their.
respective properties.
