D. C. Greer advises that additaona.l funds could be provided and that a contract for the construction of this section of 34th Street could pro- bably be aiaardc d in the Fa2-1 of 1952; and, 'udLiL:Ii i.`i, the City note has under contract to J. R. Fanning of Lubbock the construction of the entire length of 34th atreet, and urgently needs a decision whether that portion east of Avenue � will be constructed undo,- this contract. The City of Lubbock V,-)�-ld like to acquire a 90 foot trick right-of-way on 31�th Strcet froii, Avenue Q' eazst past Avenue H and throu.uh the existing tourist court that is now obstructing 34th Strcet at Avenue H. and provide additional room at Avenue H such that the intersection could be flared to a 7 lano width,provided tho State Highway Departrie:nt will construct at the exl)ensc of the Statc and the Fe:4eral Goverm-Bent a 64 foot wide pavement complete rrith curb grid gutter. 2.
