AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING AN UNDERGROUND ;f-
WATER
WATER LINE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 1-A-2, TIME'S SQUARE �o
ADDITION, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY s o
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID
ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the easement hereinafter described in the
body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use;
and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement
purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: —
SECTION 1. THAT the easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same
is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, such
easement being more particularly described in Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark
the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing,
showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby
authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as
an alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

under Instrument Number 2016008124, Official Public Records, Lubbock County,Texas; the subject tract is more
particularly described as follows(Bearings are based on Grid North per the Texas Coordinate System of 1983,North
Central Zone.):
COMMENCING at a Mag nail with a metal washer stamped "JPH Land Surveying" found at the most northerly
southeast corner of said Lot 1-A-2, from which a 1/2 inch found at the most easterly southeast corner of Lot 1-A-2
bears SOUTH 87 degrees 54 minutes 05 seconds EAST, 56.45 feet;THENCE SOUTH 02 degrees 05 minutes 53
seconds WEST,with an east line of Lot I-A-2, 2.02 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE SOUTH 02 degrees 05 minutes 53 seconds WEST,with the said east line of Lot 1-A-2, a distance of
19.00 feet to the most southerly line of the Water Easement recorded under Instrument Number

THENCE through the interior of Lot I-A-2 and with the perimeter of the said Water Easement,the following calls:
1. NORTH 87 degrees 54 minutes 07 seconds WEST,a distance of 183.26 feet;
2. NORTH 42 degrees 54 minutes 07 seconds WEST,a distance of 24.37 feet;
3. NORTH 02 degrees 05 minutes 53 seconds EAST,a distance of 66.39 feet;
4. NORTH 47 degrees 05 minutes 53 seconds EAST,a distance of 24.14 feet;
5. SOUTH 87 degrees 54 minutes 07 seconds EAST,a distance of 154.23 feet;
