BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and onbehalf of the City of Lubbock an Application to Tex
Water Rights Commission for Canyon Lake Project, attached herewith which shE
be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this
Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein
in detail.

miles in a northerly direction from Slaton, a nearby town on the
county highway map.
"(3) Station 39+51 on the centerline of the dam bears N63°50'E, 4,915 feet from the
southwest corner of original survey Section 35, Block S, in
Lubbock County, Texas.
C. Reservoir:
.(1) Acre-feet of water impounded by structure at normal maximum operating level:
49,930.
(2) Surface.area in acres of reservoir at normal maximum operating level: 1,680.

E. The total contributing drainage area above the dam is 408 square miles.
3. Appropriation:
A. Appropriated waters will be used as follows:

B. Diversion:
(1) Location of point of diversion: N61°35'E, 3,750 feet from the southwest corner
of original survey Section 35, Block S, in Lubbock County, Texas.
(2) Location from nearby town: Approximately 3 miles in a northerly direction from
Slaton, a nearby town shown on the county highway map and on the
attached vicinity map.
(3) The diversion will be from the proposed on -channel reservoir.
4 Rate of diversion:
a. Maximum: 4,166 gpm (6 MGD)
b. Diversion facility:
1. Number of pumps: 2
2. Type of pump: vertical turbine
3. Horsepower: 333 HP each pumping unit
4. Total head: 500 feet
5. Pump capacity: 2,083 gpm (3 MGD) each pump
6. Portable pumps? No.
C. Return Water or Return Flow:
Water which is diverted but not consumed as a result of the above stated use will
be returned to the North Fork, which is a tributary of the Double Mountain Fork,
which is a tributary of the Brazos River, in the Brazos River Basin, at a point
which bears S53°00'E, 3,410 feet from the northwest corner of original survey
Section 1, Block B, in Lubbock County, Texas.
D. Surplus Water: Not -applicable.
E. Hydroelectric Power Facilities: None.
4. General Information:
A. The app icant as the power of eminent domain.
B. If a permit for the appropriation is granted, either in whole or in part, con-
