HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 081271F - Street Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - GWO Multiple Locations - 08_12_1971m YrZ7/d0=0 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSE MENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Construction Company G.W.O. 2993 for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numbrous streets and/or avenues in said City including among other the following: Geneva Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 2nd Street to its intersection with a line 8.00 feet South of the South Property Line of 2nd place known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2207. 20th Street from its intersection with a line 3.00 feet East of the East Prop Line of La Salle Avenue to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Kewanee Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 21 of Unit Number 2208. 7th Street from its intersection with a line 3.00 feet East of the East Proper Line of Vicksburg Avenue to its intersection with a line 11.00 feet East of th West Property line of Toledo Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 23 of Unit Number 2208. Avenue S from its intersection with a line 12.00 feet North of the South Prope ty Line of 44th Street (South Leg) to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet Nort of the North Property Line of 45th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 27 of Unit Number 2208. North 1/2 of 58th Streat from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the East Property Line/of Avenue Q to its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue H (South Leg) known and designated as Part Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2210. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2993). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and/ or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost an release escrow money. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied agains the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance wi law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were le This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
