HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 070871B - Street Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - GWO 2993 80Th Street - 07_08_1971b?O W7/ E RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street im- provement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Construction Company, G. W. 0. 2993, for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the following: 80th Street from its intersection with a line 10 feet East of the East property line of Avenue H to its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East property line of Avenue F known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 11 of Unit Number 2208. 80th Street from its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East property line of Avenue F to its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East property line of Avenue D known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 12 of Unit Number 2208. 80th Street from its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East property line of Avenue D to its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East property line of Avenue B known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 13 of Unit Number 2208. SAND WHEREAS., the improvements upon the said portions of the above - mentioned all sstreets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract, G.W.O. 2993. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby in- structed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. This resolution shall take effect and be 'zMayo,/ om and after its passage.
