HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 5697 - Accepts Title - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, K N Clapp Park, HCC - 11_13_1997RESOLUTION NO. 5697 Item #20 November 13, 1997 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, St. Paul's on the Plains Episcopal Church built its original building in 1913 at the corner of Avenue O and 15th Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council by resolution, October 28, 1993, authorized the Lubbock Heritage Society to move the historic building to Clapp Park and restore it; and WHEREAS, this renovation has been completed and the Lubbock Heritage Society has prepared and filed a Bill of Sale transferring title of the building to the City of Lubbock; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City of Lubbock accepts title to the building formerly used as St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at K. N. Clapp Park, Hodges Community Center, Lubbock, Texas, as recorded at Volume 5531, Page 133, of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas. A copy of said Bill of Sale is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the Council. Passed by the City Council this 13th day of November , 1997.
