HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 021171C - Accept Paving Improvements - CCC Co. - Tracts A-D, South Park Addition - 02_11_1971a RESOLUTION b 2 117 I G RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVENENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of South Park Addition, Tracts A, B, C & D, made arrangements with Commercial Concrete Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of South Park Addition, Tracts A, B, C & D, including the following streets: The South 1/2 of 66th Street from its intersection with a line 15.50 feet East of the East Property Line of Salem Avenue to its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Quaker Avenue known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1828. The East 1/2 of Salem Avenue from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet South of the South Property Lineof'66th Street to its intersection with a line 7.00 feet North of the South Property Line of 67th Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1829. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above - mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. Box 2000 LUBBOCK,TEXAS 7 6 4 0 6 February 11, 1971 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Commercial Concrete Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of South Park Addition, Tracts A, B, C & D, and find the improvements on the South of 66th Street from Quaker Avenue to Salem Avenue (concrete only) and the East k of Salem Avenue from 66th Street to 67th Street (concrete only) as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans"and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
