WHEREAS, men from Lubbock serve with distinction in the
service of their country; and
WHEREAS, some of our servicemen give their lives in our
national service in Viet Nam; and
WHEREAS, we want to recognize. and honor these fallen heroes;
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT it is hereby directed that all United States flags flown on
all municipal buildings of the City of Lubbock shall be flown at half-mast
on the day of interment of a Lubbock serviceman killed in action in
Viet Nam; and further,
THAT it is suggested to all citizens of the City of Lubbock that
they join in this observance and fly their flags at half-mast on this
same day.
