RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES
AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESS-
MENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Construction Company
(G.W.O. 2969) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of
numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the following;
Temple Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 62nd Street to
its intersection with the North Property Line of 63rd Street, known and designated
as Sub -Unit Number 8 of Unit Number 2194.
Belton Avenue from the beginning of the cul-de-sac 351.59 feet North of the North
Property Line of 50th Street to its intersection with the alley East of Belton
Avenue (including drainage channel), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 29 of
Unit Number 2195.
Wayne Avenue from its intersection with a line 18 feet South of the South Property
Line of 56th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 12 feet South of the
South Property Line of 55th Street (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit
Number 30 of Unit Number 2195.
Wayne Avenue from its intersection with a line 18 feet South of the South Property
Line of 54th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 12 feet South of
the South Property Line of 55th Street (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit
Number 31 of Unit Number 2195.
Englewood Avenue from its intersection with a line 18 feet South of the South
Property Line of 45th Street to its intersection with a line 13 feet North of the
North Property Line of 46th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 34 of
Unit Number 2195.
25th Street from its intersection with a line 11 feet East of the East Property
Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 3 feet West of the West
Property Line of Bangor Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 35 of
Unit Number 2195.
Wayne Avenue from its intersection with a line 8 feet South of the South Property
Line of 21st Street to its intersection with a line 34.64 feet North of the North
Property Line of 24th Street (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number
36 of Unit Number 2195.
Vicksburg Avenue from its intersection with a line 18.5 feet North of the South
Property Line of 19th Street to its intersection with a line 22.8 feet South of
the Northeast Line of Lot 24, Bobalet Heights, known and designated as Sub -Unit
Number 37 of Unit Number 2195.
Vicksburg Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North
Property Line of the alley South of 6th Street (West Leg) to its intersection with
^ a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 6th Street (West Leg) known and
designated as Sub -Unit Number 38 of Unit Number 2195.

Belmont Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property
Line of the alley North of 6th Street to its intersection with the South Lip Line
of 4th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 41 of Unit Number 2195.
AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione
streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in
accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2969).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets
and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he
is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the
parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues
listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in
the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said
improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.

I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction
Company, paving contractor, under his contract dated November 15, 1968, designated as
G.W.O. 2969 and find the improvements on Temple Avenue from the SPL of 62nd Street to
the NFL of 63rd Street; Belton Avenue from the beginning of the cul-de-sac 351.59'
North of 50th Street to the alley East of Belton Avenue; Wayne Avenue from 18' S. of
the SPL of 56th Street (E. Leg) to 12' S. of the SPL of 55th Street (E. Leg); Wayne
Avenue from 18' S. of the SPL of 54th Street (E. Leg) to 12' S. of the SPL of 55th
Street (E. Leg); Englewood Avenue from 18' S. of the SPL of 45th Street to 13' N.
of the NPL of 46th Street; 25th Street from 11' E. of the EPL of Chicago Avenue to
3' W. of the WPL of Bangor Avenue; Wayne Avenue from 8' S. of the SPL of 21st Street
to 34.64' N. of the NPL of 24th Street (E, Leg), Vicksburg Avenue from 18.5' North of
the SPL of 19th Street to 22.8' S. of the NE line of Lot 24, Bobalet Heights;
Vicksburg Avenue from 3' North of the NFL of the alley South of 6th Street (W. Leg) to

as listed on the final estimate and assessment sheet to have been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said
streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the
attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock and issue
assignable certificates against property owners for the respective amounts shown on the
attached final assessment sheets as being due against them and their respective properties.
