HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 061269B - Quit Claim - Gayle West - Loop 289 & Quaker Avenue - 06_12_1969RESOLUTION IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in favor of Gayle West and the Estate of Frederick E. West, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Senter, Jr., QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK E THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1. 00) DOLLARS.and other good and valuable consideration to it in bind paid by GAYLE WEST and the ESTATE OF FREDERICK E. WEST of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said GAYLE WEST and ESTATE OF FR.EDERICK E. WEST of the County of Lubbock, all its right, interest and title in and to those certain tracts or parcels of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: Three tracts of land out of the northeast one -quarter of Section 10, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, said tracts of land being abandoned right of way of Loop 289 and Quaker Avenue and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: TRACT i (abandoned Loop 289 right of way - north side) BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the East line of said Section 10, Block E*-2 with the original North right of way U ne of Loop 289, said right of way line being further described in a deed to the State of Texas recorded in Volume 604, Page 587, Lubbock County Deed Records, said point being 864. 1 feet South 0003' East from the Northeast corner of said Section 10; . THENCE South 0003' East along the East line of said Section 10 a distance of 279.84 feet to a point in the present North right of way line of said Loop 289; THENCE North 72003' West along said present right of way line a distance of 232. 52 feet to a point; THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along a circular curve to the left, the center of the curve being North 14*33' West, 215.0 feet from the.beginning of the curve, a distance of 283.31 feet along the original right of way line of said Loop 289 to a point; THENCE North 69057' East along said original right of way line 60.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. THENCE North 0003' West along the East line of said Section 10 a distance of 276.46 feet to a point in the present South right of way line of said Loop 269; THENCE North 72*03' West along the East line of said Section 10 a distance of 132.62 feet to a point; THENCE in a Southeasterly direction along a circular curve to the right, the center of the curve being' South 43.47144" West, 215.0 feet from the beginning of the curve, a distance of 173.10 feet along the original right', of way line of said Loop 289 to a point; THENCE South 0.031 East along said original right of way line a distance of 162.6 feet to a point; THENCE North 89057' East along said original right of way line 60. 0 feet to the -POINT OF BEGINNING. TRACT 3 (abandoned Quaker Avenue right of way) BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the East line of said Section 10, Block E-2, with the original South right of way line of Loop 289, said right of way ling being farther described in a deed to the State of Texas recorded in Volume 694, Page 587, Lubbock County Deed Records, said point being 1904.1 feet South 0.03' set from the Northeast corner of said Section 10; THENCE South 0.03' East along the East line of said Section 10 a distance of 740.72 feet to the Southeast'. corner of the Northeast one -quarter of said Section 10; THENCE South 89057130" West a distance of 20. 0 feet to a point; THENCE North 0003' West parallel to and 20.0 feet West of the East line of said Section 10 a distance of 740. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises together with all and singular the rights, privileges and .appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GAYLE WEST and ESTATE OF FREDERICK E.1, WEST, their heirs and assigns, nor any person or persona claiming under' it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right to title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
