HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 032769D - Street Improvements - City Engineer - North University Avenue - 03_27_1969rr 3- RESOLUTION GWO Resolution directing engineer to prepare and file estimates, rolls, etc. in connection with the proposed outermost curb and gutter improvements on North University Avenue from north end of the radius on the north side of North Loop 289 to 40.00 feet south of the south property line of Kent Street (West Leg) in the City of Lubbock, Texas. WHEREAS, The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered and provided for the outermost curb and gutter improvement of a portion of North University Avenue in the city as designated below: West side of North University Avenue from its intersection with a line 40.00 feet south of the south property line of Kent Street (west leg) to its intersection with the north end of the radius on the north side of North Loop 289, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2201. East side of North University Avenue from its intersection with a line 40.00 feet south of the south property line of Kent Street (west leg) to its intersection with the north end of the radius on the north side of North Loop 289, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2201, and agreement and arrangement therefor has been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock with the Texas Highway Department and Western Pavers, Inc. and it is proposed to make and levy assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof and others for a portion of the cost of such improvements. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, THAT: The Engineer of the City be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City estimates showing cost of improvements in each Unit, showing the description of the property abutting upon each unit with the names of the owners of such property and the amounts proposed to be assessed against each parcel of property showing other matters and things, it being specially provided, however, that any mistake in such estimates or in amounts and in the descriptions of property or names of owners shall in no wise affect, invalidate or impair any assessment which may be levied. 01-1 II. Such estimates, rolls and statements shall show all information required to be shown thereon by the proceedings of the City relating to such improvements and the law and charter with amendments in force in the City, and by the provisions of Article 1105B, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas as amended by Chapter 281, Acts of the 52nd Legislature. passage.
