HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 031369G - Quit Claim - URA - Wheelock's Second Add, Ora-Vista Add, And Coronado Add - 03_13_1969RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Urban Renewal Agency, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. ROGER . , MA R ATTES : Laveiiia Lowe, Cit eeretary-Treasurer APPROV,9D _ rea u, center, err., THE STATE OF TEXAS i COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: QUITCLAIM DEED THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized officer, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by Urban Renewal Agency does hereby BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE and FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said Urban Renewal Agency, a corporation in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, its successors and assigns, all of the City of Lubbock's right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land described as follows: Those portions of Birch Avenue, Date Avenue, Elm Avenue, Fir Avenue, Globe Avenue, East 28th Street, and those portions of the alleys in Block 8, Wheelock's Second Addition, in Block 59, 68, and 69, Sieber Subdivision of Wheelock's Second Addition, and in Block 58, Ora -Vista Addition as shown closed by a plat entitled "Lots 1-8, Block 4; Lots 1-8, Block 11; Lots 5 and 12, Block 17, (a replat of Lots 4 and 11, Block 17, Coronado Addition); Lots 6, 7 and 19-26, Block 17; Lots 1-4. Block 18; and Lot 1, Block 35, Coronado Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, " save and except, how- ever, such easements as are indicated on said plat. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said Urban Renewal Agency, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the grantor nor its successors or assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under the grantor shall at any time hereafter have claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
