HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 3169 - CO#1 To Contract - Fru-Con - 21 Megawatt Cogeneration Project, TTU - 07_27_1989Resolution # 3169 July 27, 1989 Item #32 DGV:js RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Change Order No. 1 to Bid No. 9905 by and between the City of Lubbock and Fru-Con Con- struction Corporation for a 21 Megawatt Cogeneration Project at Texas Tech University, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Vandiver, First Assis City Attorney 27th day of July , 1989. c ABC. emc'n I ,MAYOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO BID NO. 9905 21 MEGAWATT COGENERATION PROJECT TO: FRU-CON Construction Corp. 15933 Clayton Road -West Ballwin, MO 63011 Gentlemen: WHEREAS, it is desirable to make changes in the Contract for this Project, being namely the following: Provide a potential transformer in the Stewart and Stevenson generation package to interface with those supplied by the substation manufacturer. WHEREAS, expend necessary resources to complete engineering, procurement and installation of potential transformer. Com- pletion of these items will make the project compatible for synchronization. The Contract amount will be increased $5,658.00 resulting in a new Contract amount of $14,855,653.00. THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: The Owner and the Contractor agree to the change shown herein. The Contractor agrees to proceed with expedited fabrication of the equipment in accordance with the plans and specifications. Furthermore, the parties agree that the origi- nal Contract between the Owner and the Contractor shall be modified to the extent herein indicated. PROJECT: 21 Mw Cogeneration Project LOCATION: Texas Tech Campus, Lubbock, Texas DATE: L-9905 408491 July 7, 1989 Change Order Request No. 01 covers the following change in contract scope: Add one line side Potential Transformer (PT) to the line side of the Main Generator Breake This Potential Transformer will be included inside the Main Generator Breaker. The 'PT that will be provided is a G.E. model 765X30G51, single Bushing Potential Transform with a 7200/120 VRatio. The price reduction for the synch -check relay ►)as been taken into account in establishing the total price. This change will delay the Mechanical Completion of this project by 0 days. Individual minor modifications may appear to have no impact on the com- pletion schedule, manpower peak, etc., but collectively several such changes would. Contractor reserves the right to periodically review the cumulative effect of minor modifications and to make request for price or schedule adjust- ments. It is hereby agreed the price for the above work will be: The lump sum of $5,658 0 Client to sign below as authorization to proceed with the work and adjust the contract price.
