RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Mary Bess
Warren, attached hereto and which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as
spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if
fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 14th day of August , 1997.

THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
QUITCLAIM DEED
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock,
State of Texas, hereinafter called "GRANTOR," for and in consideration of the sum of TEN
AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration to GRANTOR in
hand paid by MARY BESS WARREN, hereinafter called "GRANTEE," the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE and
FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all of GRANTOR'S rights, title and interest
in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock,
State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
The East 15 feet of Lot 54 and that portion of Lot 55, Block 25, Myrtle Slaton Addition
Number 4, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, lying West of the
West right of way line of Indiana Avenue and further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a cross on concrete set at the Northwest corner of said East 15 feet
for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 89059'10" E., along the North line of said Lots 54 and 55, a distance of
66.25 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set in said right of way line for the Northeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE S. 003722" E., along said right of way line, a distance of 130.00 feet to a
1/2" iron rod set in the South line of said Lots 54 and 55 for the Southeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE S. 89059'10" W., along said South line, a distance of 67.66 feet to a 1/2" iron
rod set at the Southwest corner of said East 15 feet for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 0000'00" E., along the West line of said East 15 feet, a distance of 130.00
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the rights,
privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GRANTEE, her heirs
and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR, its successors or assigns, nor any persons
claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right to the title
to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
