SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTION ORDER
[ THE STATE OF TEXAS
r COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
CITY OF LUBBOCK I
WHEREAS, the persons appointed Judge and Alternate Judge for Precinct
17 and Precinct 22 appointed by Order dated April 17, 1968 are unable to serve
in the capacity of Judge or Alternate Judge for the Special Election ordered to
be held on May 14, 1968, NOW THEREFORE:
I, W. D. Rogers, Jr., Mayor of the City of Lubbock, Texas by virtue
of the authority vested in me by law of the State of Texas do hereby name and
appoint as Presiding Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge the following:
VOTING PRECINCT 17:
Presiding Judge, Mrs. J. W. Jackson
Alternate Presiding Judge, Mrs. Sy Marbut
VOTING PRECINCT 22:
Presiding Judge, Mrs. Nay Hale
Alternate Presiding Judge, Mrs. I. V. Ferguson.
It is further ordered that the Presiding Judges and Alternate Presiding
Judges herein named shall be vested with the authority stated in the previous
order of election dated April 17, 1968.

29, inclusive, and Voting Precinct 47, are del'
eated on the attached map which has been duly adopted by Ordinance No. 5421 of
the City Council on February 22,
1968, said Map being made a part of this Order
and Notice of Election. Said general election shall be held and the polls shall be
opened from 7;00 A. M. to 7:00 P.
M., and all electors shall vote in the voting
precinct of their residence.
The hereinafter named persons are appointed presiding judges-and-altern-a -

Each Presiding Judge, herein appointed, is hereby authorized and directed
to appoint not less than two clerks and as many additional clerks, but not to exceed
a total of eight clerks, as he deems necessary for the proper conduct of the elect-
ion. The Alternate Presiding ,Tine herein appointed .shall serve as the Presiding
Judge in event the regularly appointed Judge is unable to serve at this election, and
shall be appointed by the regularly appointed Presiding Judge to serve as one of
the clerks in the event the election is conducted by the regularly appointed Presid-
ing Judge.
ELECTION NOTICE
The Chief of Police is hereby directed to post a properly executed copy of
this Order and Notice of ;Election at the foilowiang places:

The City Secretary shall, serve a duly certified copy of the Election Order
and this` Notice upon each of the election judges and alternate judges named in this
Notice. Such services shall be made by registered mail within twenty (20) days
after the date of the Order and this Notice.
