HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 011068A - Paving Release - Various Owners - Multiple Locations - 01_10_1968KJ:tp BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the MAYOR of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Paving Release to Various Owners, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. D: r, jr., THE STATE OF TEXAS i COUNTY OF LUBBOCK i PAVING RELEASE WHEREAS, heretofore, on September 14, 1967, the City of Lubbock passed a Resolution, which was amended on September 28, 1967 and October 12, 1967, such instrument being recorded in Volume 476, Page 109, of the Deed of Trust Records of Lubbock County, Texas, such Resolution contain- ing a notice of improvements and apportionment of costs of such.improve- ments, by assessing a lien upon: the property abutting thereon, and in such Resolution there was Included paving assessments for certain hereinafter described Paving Units; and, WHEREAS, under such Paving Units, such improvements have created no lien or liens against the property assessed pursuant to said Paving Units, by reason of the fact that such paving improvements have been deleted from the stated paving program, and there is no immediate plan of making street improvements upon the streets under said Paving Units, and it is expedient to remove the cloud and apparent lien placed upon the title of property abutting the streets as aforementioned: NOW THEREFORE: KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT the City of Lubbock, acting by and through its duly authorized Mayor, in consideration of the premises, do hereby and by these presents, RELEASE, RELINQUISH AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM to the owner or owners of property affected by the paving assessment liens hereinabove mentioned, their heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, all right, title and inter- est the City of Lubbock may have in and to all these lots, tracts or parcels of land being situated !n the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and being further described as follows, to -wit: Unit 2179-8 87th Street from the West Property Line of Avenue E to V East of the East Property Line of Avenue F (North Leg) Unit 2179-9 37th Street from the East Property Line of Avenue E to West Line of Lot 6, Block 2, Ross Putty Addition Unit 2179-10 Vandelia Dr. from the East Property Line of Sherman Avenue to the West Property Line of Avenue S.
