WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore determined the necessity for widening and improving College Avenue and entered into Contract with Kerr Con- struction Company (G.W.O. 10563) for the making and construction of street improvements on a portion of College Avenue in said City including among others the following: College Avenue from its intersection with the North Curb Line of 34th Street to its intersection with the South Curb Line of 21st Street (Excluded from this acceptance is the two -course Asphaltic Surface Treatment and alley returns on the east side which are to be done later). AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon said portion of College Avenue have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 10563). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I That the improvements on said portion of College Avenue be and the same are hereby accepted and payment is being made in accordance with Monthly Estimate No. 2. Box 2000 LUBBOCK, TEXAS 79408 October 26, 1967 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, Paving Contractor, under their contract dated March 23, 1967, designated as G.W.O. 10563 and find the im- provements on College Avenue from 21st Street to 34th Street as listed on monthly estimate No. 2, to have been constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications (excluded from this acceptance is the two -course Asphaltic Surface Treatment and alley returns on the east side which are to be done later) and recommend that you accept the improvements on said Avenue.
