HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 5390 - Dedication Deed - Platting - Lof 1 Fire Station #5 Addition - 01_23_1997RESOLUTION NO. 5390 Item #10 January 23, 1997 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Dedication Deed in connection with the platting of Lot 1, Fire Station #5 Addition, attached hereto and which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of January 1997 J4 A�� AL TF' OKE, MAYOR PRO TEMPORE ATTEST: Kaytbamell, City Secretary APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: Ed Bucy, Right -of -Way Agent APPROVED AS TO FORM: &-4-ax ly �* Aaiold Willard, Assistant City Attorney HW:gs/foaestares adom December 24, 1996 RESOLUTION NO. 5390 Item #10 January 23, 1997 DEDICATION DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK This is to certify that the CTTY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, is the owner of a tract of land, more particularly described as follows: METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of the plat limits of Lot 1, Fire Station 95 Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod and cap found for the Southwest comer of this tract in the East right-of-way line of Zenith Avenue and the North right-of-way line of East Broadway from whence the Southwest corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 4, Block O, Lubbock County, Texas, is called to bear N. 89*48'00" W a distance of 30 feet and South a distance of 50 feet; THENCE N. 00000'00" W., along said East right-of-way line, a distance of 380.22 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in a South line of the C.D. Elliston Addition for the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE N. 90000'00" E., along said South line, at a distance of 5.0 feet pass a 3/4" iron pipe found at the Southwest corner of Lot 25 of said C.D. Elliston Addition, at a distance of 150.08 feet pass a 3/4" iron pipe found at a corner of Lot 1, Callie Addition, in all a distance of 275.10 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found at a corner of said Lot 1, Callie Addition for the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE S. 0°06'30" E., along a West line of said Lot 1, a distance of 368.60 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found for the Southeast corner of this tract in the North right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 82 as described in Volume 175, Page 96 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE Westerly, along said right-of-way line and a curve to the right having a radius of 1095.92 feet and a chord bearing of S. 85°51'30" W., a chord distance of 166.24 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker found at a corner of this tract; THENCE N. 89-48-00" W., along said North right-of-way line, a distance of 110.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby plat the above described property into lots, designating streets, alleys and other public properties as thereon shown in accordance with the attached plat, prepared by Robert L. Smith, a licensed surveyor for the State of Texas, on the day of , 19_, and approved by the Planning Commission of the City of Lubbock on the day of 19_, and desiring to have the said property platted and duly filed for record as required by law all as shown on the attached plat; NOW THEREFORE KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT for and in consideration of the special benefits to the remainder of its property, said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby DEDICATE all the streets, alleys and other public properties thereon shown and designated upon said plat to the PUBLIC USE FOREVER; and by these presents, does impress the name of Lot 1, Fire Station #5 Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, upon said property for the correct reference and description thereto by lots and blocks as indicated upon the attached plat, and said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and impress the same upon said land, incorporating said plat as a part of this dedication.
