RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that, in order to provide service to
citizens of Lubbock, it is necessary to extend the sanitary sewer lines
iin the City, and
WHEREAS, to accomplish this purpose, it is necessary to acquire a
y sewer easement on the hereafter described property, and
WHEREAS, Evelyn Jones Pope is the owner of said land and the value
d total damage to the owner for the sanitary sewer easement on said land
s been appraised in the amount of $50.00 and the Council finds said amount
be fair and reasonable; NOW THEREFOIE :
IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT, a sanitary sewer easement over, under and across the follow-
ing described land situated in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
be acquired by the City of Lubbock for sanitary sewer purposes, which land i;
more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point 417, 2 feet South and 1167 feet West of the
North-East corner, Section 5, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas.
Said point being 7. 5 feet North of the Northeast corner of Lot 4 of
the Eddie Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE 116.7 feet East to a point;
THENCE 5 feet North to a point;
THENCE 116. 7 feet West to a point;
THENCE 5 feet South to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
THAT the owners of said land be offered, through the Right of Way
Department, the amount appraised as the value and total damages fora sani-
tary sewer easement and acquisition of said land for the purposes herein
stated, for the use and benefit of the City of Lubbock, and unless accepted
forthwith the City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to institute
condemnation proceedings for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock to acquire
a sanitary sewer easement over, under and across said land as hereinabove
described.
Approved and passed by unanimous vote of the Council this 11th day of
