HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 012667A - Quit Claim Deed - URA - Various Locations - 01_26_1967I, - RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a.Quit Claim Deed to the Urban Renewal Agency, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 26th day of January , 1967. APPROVED: red O. Senter, Jr., Attorney Approved City Allorney THE STATE OF TEXAS X COUNTY OF LUBBOCK KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and the State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1. 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by the Urban Renewal Agency of Lubbock, Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said Urban Renewal Agency, its successors and assigns, all of the City of Lubbock's right, title and interest in and to those certain tracts or parcels of land described as follows: TRACT I - ASH AVENUE BEGINNING at the Southwest Corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas THENCE West a distance of 25 feet; THENCE North a distance of 282. 6 feet; THENCE East a distance of 25 feet; THENCE South a dietance of 202. 8 feet to the point of beginning. TRACT II - CEDAR AVENUE BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 17, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West a distance of 50 feet; THENCE North along the west right-of-way line of Cedar Avenue to the south right-of-way line of East 18th Street; THENCE East a distance of 50 feet; THENCE South along the east right-of-way line of Cedar Avenue to the point of beginning. TRACT III - DATE AVENUE BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 3, Block 32, Wheelock's Second Addition, to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West a distance of 50 feet; THENCE North along the west right-of-way line of Date Avenue to the south right-of-way line of East 19th Street; THENCE South 83020144" E. to the intersection of the west right -Of -way line of Southeast Drive; THENCE South along the east right-of-way line of Date Avenue to the point of beginning. r TRACT IV - EAST /WEST ALLEY IN BLOCK 16 BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 16, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North a distance of 20 feet, THENCE East a distance of 300 feet; THENCE South a distance of 20 feet; THENCE West € distance of 300 feet to the point of beginning. TRACT V - EAST/WEST ALLEY IN BLOCK 17 BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 17. Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North a distance of 20 feet; THENCE East a distance of 300 feet; THENCE South a distance of 20 feet, THENCE West a distance of 300 feet to the point of beginning. TRACT VI - NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 1 BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 1, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West a distance of 20 feet; THENCE North a distance of 292.8 feet; THENCE East a distance of 20 feet; THENCE South a distance of 292, 6 feet to the point of beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belong- ing unto the said Urban Renewal Agency, its successors and assigns, forever, so that neither the said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
