HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 122166H - Quit Claim Deed - URA - Various Locations - 12_21_1966RESOLUTION `\ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed to the Urban Renewal Agency attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Approved Assn For prov City attorney QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS I KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK i THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Pule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and the State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1, 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock, a Corporation of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, the receipt of which to hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE, and FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock, all its right title and interest in and to that certain tract or par- cel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to wit: The parts of Birch Avenue, Cedar Avenue, Date Avenue, Elm Avenue, East 28th Street, the alleys in Blocks 61, 62, and 68, Mill Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being a subdivision of Blocks 61, 62, and 63 of the Wheelock Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and the alley in Block 60 Sieber Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 60 of said Wlicelock Second Addition, that are within the limits of a part of Lot 2, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, said part of said Lot 2 being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the South line of Coronado Drive and the center line of alley in Block 63, Mill Addition, said point of intersection being 10 feet West and 5.66 feet North of the Northwest corner of L,otv3, Block 63, Mill Addition, and being the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE South 830 23' 22" East 5. 70 feet along the South line of Coronado Drive to a point of intersection; THENCE East 354. 33 feet along; the 'South line of Coronado Drive to a point at the beginning of curve; THENCE around a curve to the right in a Southeasterly direction having a radius of 1374.14 feet, tangent distance of 469. 63 feet, deflection angle of 370 44' 12", and a chord distance of 888. 76 feet to a point at end of curve in the South line of Coronado Drive; THENCE South 520 15' 48" East 30. 82 feet along the South line of Coronado to a point in the center line of Elm Avenue, the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE South 350. 01 feet along the center line of Elm Avenue to a point in the center line of 28th Street, the Southeast corner of this tract; THENCE West 350 feet along the center line of 28th Street to a point in the center line of Date Avenue; THENCE North 201 feet along the center line of Date Avenue to a point; THENCE West 350 feet to a point in the center line of Cedar Avenue; THENCE North 50 feet along the center line of Cedar Avenue to a point; THENCE West 165 feet to a point; THENCE North 100 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot E, Block 62, Mill Addition; THENCE West 10 feet to a point in center line of alley; THENCE North 100 feet along the center line of alley to a point; THENCE West 175 feet to a point in the center line of Birch Avenue; THENCE North 150 feet along the center line of Birch Avenue to a point 25 feet East of the Southeast corner of Lot 3, Block 63, Mill Addition; THENCE West 175 feet to a point in the center line of alley; THENCE North 55. 66 feet along the center line of alley to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 9. 6472 acres. SAVE AND EXCEPT, 0owever, the part of those easements as are Bet out and shown upon the plat of said Lot 2, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition that are within the abovedescribed part of said Lot 2. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges, and appurtenances thereth in any manner belonging unto the said Urban Renewal Agency, their successors and assigns, so that neither the City of LuLbocl; nor any person or persons claiming under it al all, at any time herea;ter, have claim or demand any right to title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
