HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 122166E - Quit Claim Deed - Plains Cooperative Oil Mill, Inc. - Various Locations - 12_21_1966FJ RESOLUTION 1' J, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed to the Plains Cooperative Oil Mill, Inc., attached -herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein -in detail, Passed by the City Council this 21st day of December , 1966. City A rn QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS [ KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hadd paid by the Plains Cooperative Oil Mill, Inc., of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE and FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said Plains, Cooperative Oil Mill, Inc., of the City of Lubbock, all its right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: The parts of Ash Avenue, Birch Avenue, Cedar Avenue, Date Avenue, Elm Avenue, East 28th Street, the alleys in Blocks 62 and 63, Mill Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being a subdivision of Blocks 62 and 63 of the Wheelock Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, that are within all that certain portion of Lot 2, Plains Coopera- tive Oil Mill Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, which adjoins a separate and distinct tract of land comp- rising the remainder of Lot 2, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, which separate tract of land is owned by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock and is more particularly described in a Quit Claim Deed executed on even date herewith from the City of Lubbock to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock to which reference is made for all purposes. SAVE AND EXCEPT, however, the part of those easements as are set out and shown upon the plat of said Lot 2, Plains Co- operative Oil Mill Addition, that are within the portion of Lot 2 affected by this conveyance. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said Plains Cooperative Oil Miil.11nc. , their successors and assigns, so that neither the City of Lubbock nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right to title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
