RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Dedication
Deed in connection with the platting by said City of Tract A, Rhoades Acres
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, attached herewith,
which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon
the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolu-
tion as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of January , 1986.

THE STATE OF TEXAS
DEDICATION DEED
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
This is to certify that the City of Lubbock, a home rule
municipality of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, is the
sole owner of a tract of land more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for the plat limits of Tract
"A", Rhoades Acres Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 00°08' W. a distance of
59.50 feet and N. 89°48' E. a distance of 40.00 feet from
the Southwest corner of Section 8, Block E, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE N. 00008' W. a distance of 355.65 feet;
THENCE N. 89048' E. a distance of 278.30 feet;
THENCE S. 00001'30" W. a distance of 205.90 feet;
THENCE N. 89057' W. a distance of 60.00 feet;
THENCE S. 00001130" W. a distance of 150.00 feet;
THENCE S. 89048' W. a distance of 217.30 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINS: 2.062 acres of land.
Said City does hereby plat the above described property into lots
and blocks, designating streets, alleys and other public proper-
ties as thereon shown in accordance with the attached map, pre-
pared by Tommie E. Anderson, a licensed surveyor for the State of
Texas, on the 22nd day of October, 1985, and approved by the
Planning Commission of the City of Lubbock on the 4th day of
December, 1985, and desiring to have the said property platted
and duly filed for record as required by law all as shown on the
attached map; NOW THEREFORE;
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That for and in consideration of the special benefits to the
remainder of my property said City does hereby DEDICATE all the
streets, alleys and other public properties thereon shown and
designated upon said map to the PUBLIC for PUBLIC USE FOREVER;
and by these presents, do impress the name of Tract A, Rhoades
Acres Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
upon said property for the correct reference and description
thereto by lots and blocks as indicated upon the attached map,
and said City does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and
impress the same upon said land, incorporating said map as a part
of this dedication.
