RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the
public interest to ensure that disadvantaged businesses will have an equal
opportunity to compete for City of Lubbock contracts for construction, profes-
sional services, purchases of equipment and supplies and all other services
required by the City; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 226 of the 73rd Legislature, requires
municipalities in making an expenditure of more than $3,000 but less than
$15,000 to contact at least two disadvantaged businesses on a rotating basis;
and
WHEREAS, it has been

within the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program attached hereto; and
THAT the City Manager of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock said Policy
Statement and any amendments thereto; and
