RESOLUTION
CANVASS OF VOTES IN SPECIAL "RUN-OFF" ELECTION
HELD, MAY 3 rd, 1966
{{ BE IT REMEMBERED THAT on the 4th day of May, 1966, the City Council of the
City of Lubbock met at 1: 0 o'clock, P M., in special session in compli
ance with the charter provision, at the regular meeting place of the Council in
the City Hall, in the City of Lubbock, with the following members present, to-wit:
Mayor W. D. Rogers and Councilv�en James H. Granberry, Jack Kastman, Rolan
Simpson, and tit,. E. kedlock
On motion of Medlock seconded by Granberry it is
unanimously carried that the returns of the Special "Run-Off" City Election, held
May 3rd, 1966, 'or the election of Councilman, Place 3 for term as provided by
law, be opened and canvassed, and the results thereof declared therefrom; and
said returns having been duly canvassed, it is found that the votes for the candi-
dates are as follows:

Roy A. Middleton 4641
IT IS "NEREFORE FOUND,, DECLARED AND CERTIFIED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Ray J%_-Diekempefi.°.Jr.
was duly elected Councilman, Place 3 of the City of Lubbock, he having received
the highest number of votes for the office of Councilman, Place 3, City of
Lubbock in said election.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON MOTION OF Med lock ,
seconded by Granberry this 4th day of May, 1966, by the
following vote':
