HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 033166A - Quit Claim Deed-Plains Brokerage Co.-Lot 10, Block 141, Original Town Addition - 03_31_1966 JRC:bw 53ft"(0 r Cam-. s ,r a RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK- THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed to Plains Brokerage Company covering a portion of 13th Street attached here- with which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Senter, Jr., Ci orney i THE STATE OF TEXAS { KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK { THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized officer, for and in the consideration of the sum of ONE THOU- SAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N0/100 (41,500.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by the Plains Brokerage Company.does hereby BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE and FOREVER QUIT- CLAIM unto the said Plains Brokerage Company of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, its successors and assigns, all of the City of Lubbock's right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land described as follows: BEGINNING at a bolt set at the Southeast corner of Lots 10, Block 141, Original Town of Lubbock for the North- east and beginning corner of this tract. THENCE West 50.56 feet with the South line of Lot 10, Block 141 to a point in the Northeast right-of-way line of Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad for the Southwest corner of Lot 10 and the West corner of this tract. THENCE South 390 53' East with the right-of-Ray line of said .railroad, parallel to and 200 feet Northeast of center- line of mbin tract at 0.44 feet pass nail in building founda- tion, and in al 78.84 feet set 3/4" galy. iron pipe for the South corner of this tract. THENCE North 60.5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said Plains Brokerage Company, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the grantor nor its successors or assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under the grantor shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
