HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 022466J - Quitclaim Deed - Rix Life Insurance Co. - Lot 1, Block 143, Original Town Add - 02_24_1966 oz A RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Rix Life Insurance Company, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Senter, Jr., Cit orney Ap.,..—Al �d Asst.Cif tt7l orney QUITCLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS I KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK 4 THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by Rix Life insurance Company, a corporation of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does, by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE and FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said Rix Life Insurance Company, all its right, title and Interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 143, Original Town Addition of Lubbock, Texas; THENCE West 25.0 feet to the center of Avenue P; THENCE South along the center of Avenue P 104.0 feet to k paint; THENCE East 25.0 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 4 in said Block 143; THENCE North 104.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner be- longing unto the said Rix Life Insurance Company, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the grantor nor its successors or assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under the grantor shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
