Priestly - Lot 12, Block 19, Wheelock's 2Nd Addition - 02_24_1966 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed to Mr. C. Priestly on the following described tract of land: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 19. Wheelock1s Second Addition to the City of Lubbock; THENCE North a distance of twenty-five (25) feet to the center line of East 21st Street; THENCE East along said center line of East 21st Street a distance of one hundred forth(140) feet to the west line Date Avenue; THENCE South a distance of twenty-five (25) feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 12; THENCE West along the North line of said Lot 12 and along the South line of East 21st Street a distance of one hundred and forty(140) feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. which instrument is attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. City Attorney QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS # KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK # THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home We Municipal Corporation of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, acting by and through its duly authorised officer, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE AND 611100 ($173.61) DOLLARS to it in hand paid by C. Priestly of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents BARGAINS, SELL, RELEASE, and FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said C. Priestly of the County of Lubbock all its rights, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 19, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock; THENCE North a distance of twenty-five (25) feet to the center line of East 21st Street; THENCE East along said center line of East 21st Street a distance of one hundred forty(140) feet to the West line of Date Avenue; THENCE South a distance of twenty-five (25) feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 12; THENCE West along the North line of said Lot 12 and along the South line of East 21st Street a distance of one hundred forty(140) feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises together with all and singular the rights, lbrivileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner be- longing, unto the said C. Priestly. his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the City of Lubbock nor its successors or assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under the City of Lubbock shall at any time hereafter have, claim, or demand any right, or title to the aforesaid premises or appur- tenaaces thereto or any part thereof.
