RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock proposes to adopt a
tax rate for the next tax year which will exceed 103% of the effective tax
rate for the current year; and
WHEREAS, adoption of said tax rate increase requires a public hearing
prior to such adoption pursuant to Section 26.05(c) of the Texas Property
Tax Code; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT it is hereby proposed to consider a tax increase for the next tax
year which will exceed 103% of the effective tax rate for the current year;
and
THAT it is hereby ordered that a public hearing on such proposed tax
increase shall be conducted at 6:00 P M. on the 26th day of
August, 1993.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Lubbock on the 12th day of
August , 1993.
