BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

THAT the Mayorp'.J !Vklderwnof,,the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorize
and directed to execute for and'ori belia7i£' the City of Lubbock a Paving Agreeme
to G. Martin and wife, Lillian Martin, on the West 45.0 feet of the North 280.0
feet of the South 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the
Northwest 1/4 of Section. 8, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, attached herewith
which shall be spread upon.the minutes of this Council and as spread upon the mini tes
of the Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied
herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 9th day of September 1965.

COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
This agreement entered into on this Qrh day of _ September , 1965, by
and between the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock,
Texas and G. Martin and wife, Lillian'Martin:
WITNESSETH:
THAT in consideration of the conveyance by G. Martin and wife, Lillain Martin
to the City of Lubbock of all that certain parcel of land described as follows:
The West 45.0 feet of the North 280.0 feet of the South 1/2
of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 8, Block E-2, Lubbock County,
Texas.
The City of Lubbock agrees that upon conveyance of the above described tract
of land to the City of Lubbock by general warranty deed that no assessment shall be
levied upon the remainder of the G. Martin property, abutting the property hereby
conveyed, for any portion of the paving, curb and gutter costs for the paving of
Quaker Avenue, GWO 10460, the contract for said paving having been entered into
between the City of Lubbock and Kerr Paving Company on January 28, 1065.
G. Martin and wife Lillian Martin:agree that they will convey the above descri-
bed tract of land for the above described consideration and it is understood that this
agreement does not cover any other paving, curb or gutter costs hereafter assessed.
WITNESS OUR HANDS this 9th day of September 1965.

been examined by me privily and &part from her husband, and having the some fully
explained to her, she, the said LILLIAN MARTIN acknowledged such instrument to
be her act and deed and she declared that she had willing ly signed the same for the
purposes and consideration therein expressed, and she did not wish to retract it.
