HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 082764A - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - Green Lawn Addition - 08_27_1964 a 1. 17 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR yl, AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: � e WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Green Lawn Addition, Lots 287-308, made arrangements with Kerr Construction Company for the construction of paving i improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Green Lawn Addition including the following streets: 27th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet East of the East Property Line of Dover Avenue to its intersection with a line 11 feet East of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1411. The alley stub on the West Side of Chicago Avenue South of 27th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1411-A. Dover Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 27th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 27th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1412. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money, II. TEXAS 79406 August 27, 1964 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Green Lawn Addition and find the improvements on 27th Street from Chicago Avenue to Dover Avenue, Chicago Avenue (alley on West side South of 27th Street) and on Dover Avenue from the alley South of '26th Street to the alley South of 27th Street as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
