HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 071664F - Corrected Dedication Deed - Suburban Homes Addition - 07_16_1964 �PA:jlm+ 0�7 RESOLUTION E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor for the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and 3 irected to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Corrected Dedication Deed which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this resolution as if fully opied herein in detail. City Attorney THE STATE OF TEXAS 4 COUNTY OF LUBBOCK a THAT whereas the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality, did execute a Dedication Deed and plat, for the consideration therein mentioned, covering, among others. Lot 4, Block 4; add Lot 2, Block 4, Suburban Homes Addition to the City of Lubbock, and recorded in Volume 940, Page 514, Lubbock County Deed Records, Lubbock County,Texas; and whereas said Dedication Deed and plat is incorrect in legal description of said property; and whereas to prevent difficulties hereafter, it is expedient to correct said errors. NOW. THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the special benefits to the remainder of its property, the City of Lubbock does hereby DEDICATE the following described property, to-wit- CORRECTED FIELD NOTES, Lot 4, Block 4. BEGINNING at a point in the South line of Block 4, Suburban Homes Addition, said point being 15 feet East of the Southwest corner of Block 4; THENCE North a distance of 198,3 feet; THENCE East a distance of 72�25 feet; THENCE South a distance of 198.3 feet; THENCE West along the South line of Block 4, a distance of 72.25 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. CORRECTED FIELD NOTES, Lot 2, Block 4, BEGINNING at a point in the South line of Block 4, Suburban Homes Addition, said point being 161.25 feet east of the Southwest corner of Block 4; THENCE North a distance of 161 feet; THENCE East a distance of 86,25 feet; THENCE South a distance of 161 feet; THENCE West along the South line of Block 4, a distance of 86,25 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. AND said City of Lubbock does hereby plat the above described property, de- signating streets, alleys and other public properties as thereon shown in ac- cordance with the attached CORRECTED Map, prepared by Hugo Reed, a licensed surveyor for the State of Texas, on the 20th day of February, 1964,and ap- proved by the Planning Commission of the City of Lubbock on the day of May, 1964, and desiring to have said property platted and duly filed for record as required by law; NOW, THEREFORE, this CORRECTED Deed and Map are givbn in substitution for such earlier Deed, recorded in Volume 940, Page 514, Lub- bock County Deed Records; and insofar as said earlier deed and plat are incorrect regarding the above described property, this deed and plat are intended and do hereby substitute for same.
