RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: p r THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and 1 ' directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Warranty Deed to `pd J. W. Wright conveying the land described in the attached conveyance which shall be spread upon the mii►utes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 14th day of May , 1964. MAYOR A=ST- - {n Approved Lave_ a.l,owe :�eretary-Treasurer - hr AMofMf� THE STATE OF TEXAS I KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTSI COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, acting by and through its Mayor. heretofore duly authorized for and in consideration of the sum of FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVE11 AND 75/100 DOLLARS ($587.75) cash to it in hand paid by J. W. Wright, of Lubbock County, Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the further sum of ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE AND 25/100 DOLLARS ($1.763.23) secured to be paid and evidenced by grantee's Promissory Vendor's Lien Note, which note is fur- ther described as followst An Installment Vendor's Lien Note in the amount of $1,763.25, dated July 7. 1963. payable to the City of Lubbock, Texas, in three (3) annual in- stallments of $587.75 each, together with interest of six per cent (6%) per annum; with the first payment being due on July 7. 1964, and an equal amount being payable on July 76 of each year thereafter until the prin- cipal and interest is paid in full; said Vendor's Lien Note being further secured by a Deed of Trust given to Don Reed, Trustee, for the benefit of the City of Lubbock. Have granted. sold and conveyed. and by these presents do grant, sell and convey unto the said grantee, J. W. Wright, of Lubbock County, Texas, all that certain parcel of Landt All of Lot Four (4), Block Four (4), Suburban homes Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County. Texas, as per plat and dedication recorded in Vol. 1000, Page 163, at seq., of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described property and premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns forever; and I do hereby bind the City of Lubbock and its successors to warrant and forever defend all and singular said premises unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns, against every person whom- soever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. But it is expressly stipulated and agreed that a Vendor's Lien and the superior title are retained against the above described property and premises until said note is fully and finally paid according to its face andtenor, effect and reading, when this deed shall become absolute.
