RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Warrant Deed to
W. A. Maddox conveying the land described in the attached conveyance which
shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes
of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, of the
County of Lubbock, State of Texas, acting by and through its Mayor, heretofore
duly authorized for and in consideration of the sum of FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY
AND NO/100 J$460.00) DOLLARS cash to it in hand paid by W. A. Maddox, of
Lubbock County, Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged.
Has granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and

certa'lIn parcel of land:
All of Lots 16 and 19, Block 35, Maddox Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, subject to the reservation herein described.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described property and premises, to-
gether with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise
belonging, unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns forever; and I do hereby
bind the City of Lubbock and its successors to warrant and forever defend all
and singular said premises unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns, against
every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof, save and except there is hereby reserved unto the grantor, its successors
and assigns a permanent and perpetual easement which includes the right at
any time to ingress and egress; to locate, drill, maintain and improve water well
sites; and to locate, lay, maintain, and improve pipe lines, electric lines.and
any other apparatus or device necessary to the operation of water wells on a
parcel of land off the North side of Lots 18 and 19, Block 35, Maddox Addition
to the City of Lubbock, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest Corner of said Block 36, Maddox
Addition, said point being the Northwest Corner of Lot 19,
said Maddox Addition;
THENCE South 70 feet to a point]
THENCE East 50 feet to a point;
THENCE North 70 feet to a point;
THENCE West 50 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

Volume 9S1, Page 529, of the deed records of Lubbock County, Texas,
the City of Lubbock conveyed to W. A. Maddox the follaaing de-
scribed real estate, situated in Lubbock County, Texas, to-wits
All of Lots Nos. Eighteen (18) and Nineteen (19),
Block No. Thirty-five (35). msddox Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
SAVE AND EXCEPT that there was reserved to the grantor in said deed,
it: successors and assigns, a permanent and perpetual easement which
includes the right at any time to ingress and egress= to locate,
drill, maintain, and improve water well sites; and to locate, lay,
maintain and improve pipelines;, electric lines, and any other
apparatus or device necessary to the operation of seater wells on a
parcel of land off the north side of Lots IS and 19, Block 35,
Maddox Addition to the City of Lubbock, more particularly described

W. A. Maddox, in that the consideration therefor was paid by Maddox
Investment Coripzny, and it was the purpose and intent of the parties
that said properties should be conveyed to Maddox Investment Company,
and the conveyance to W. A. Maddox instead or to Maddox Investment
Company was a result of an error on the part of the scriveners
NOW, M�REFORE, in consideration of the premises and for
the purpose of correcting the error aforesaid, and in con-

cash to the City of Lubbock in hand paid by Maddox Investment
Company, receipt of tihich is hereby acknowledged, the under-
signed, City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation,
has granted, sold and conveyed, and by there presents does grant,
sell and convey unto Maddox Investment Company, a corporation,
the following described real estate, situated in .Lubbock County,
Texas, to-wits
All of Lots 18 and 19, Block 35, Maddox Audition to
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, subject
to the reservation herein described.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described property and pre-aises,
together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances there-
to in anywise belonging, unto the said grantee, its successors and
assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to
claim the same or any part thereof, save and except there is here-
by reserved unto the grantor, its successors and assigns a permanent
and perpetual easement which includes the right at any time to
